Bioethics Exhibition at Science Centre Singapore
The Bioethics Exhibition at Science Centre Singapore titled ‘We Could, But Should We?’, which is organised jointly by the Bioethics Advisory Committee with the Science Centre Board, and supported by the Ministry of Health, was officially launched on 29 August 2024 by Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health.

Four interactive dioramas which addresses ethical issues from emerging topics are:

(i) use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare to improve health outcomes,
-
(ii) applications of gene editing technologies to prevent genetic diseases,
-
(iii) use of brain organoids for research and develop cures for neurological diseases, and
-
(iv) use of biological self-experimentations to enhance one’s health and performance
